Situation: The Marine Reserve is located between the easternmost point of Cabo de San Antonio and the meridian 00º08,10'' which passes through the tip of San Nicolás. That is to say, it occupies almost all the rocky coves of Les Rotes and the cliffs of the Cape to the tip of this.
Description: you will find coralline communities, Scylla algae and calcareous rodophytes, posidonia meadows, diving in caves and crevices such as the famous Carved Cave, and even photographing gorgons, sponges, sea cicharras, amphusos, morenas, esparidos, ticket offices, sargos or salpas: many possible routes in the same natural area.
The Marine Reserve is a natural area of high environmental value in which human access is restricted and controlled. It is an area of high environmental value with restricted use, where it is prohibited: anchoring boats (except for buoys intended for this purpose), navigation with motor boats (except the approach to buoys at less than 3 knots) recreational fishing in all forms (on foot, from boat and diving), sport diving without the appropriate licence, collection of marine organisms, marine flora or fauna without the appropriate authorisation, water sports involving the use of motor boats, underwater recreational activities involving the use of motor without proper authorisation (DOGV. No 2.145 of 16 November 1993).

The area between the southern breakwater and the beginning of the marine reserve of Cabo de San Antonio is also a protected area, being an area of moderate use there are certain limitations: fishing prohibited, anchoring of boats prohibited, the use of non-motorized boats and nautical and underwater recreational activities with navigation at less than 6 knots is permitted. Professional diving is limited and special permission is required (Territorial Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries of Alicante).

Cova Tallada
La Cova Tallada is a place located on the cliffs of Cabo de San Antonio. It is not a beach or a cove and its access is difficult.
Due to the mass of the visits, access to it has been regulated in recent years.
